To make optimum use of these growth opportunities, retailers in Dubai took a strategic decision to come together under the Retail Business Group, a unified platform which enables all stakeholders to collaborate and plan together for the future.

This is obviously good news for us at Dubai Customs and for the retail market at large, as we strongly believe in the importance of joint work and synergy between industry players. We trust that the Retail Business Group in Dubai will better align members’ efforts to seize fresh opportunities offered by the growing e-commerce and retail sector towards boosting Dubai’s economic growth and development.

Dubai Customs, via its Consultative Council, is committed to working closely with the Retail Business Group to respond to different challenges and serve retailers’ interests. The Council also allows industry stakeholders from different business groups to communicate together and share ideas and recommendations with Dubai Customs, with an aim to further streamline clearance process, facilitate trade and enhance business competitiveness.
